MLB 秋信守 飲酒運転で逮捕 「韓国に戻ったら人生終わりニダー！」

2011年5月2日未明、米国オハイオ州シェフィールドレークという、クリーブランドから西に30－40キロ離れた小さな町で、飲酒運転の現行犯で逮捕された。蛇行運転し­ていたところを巡回中の警察官に発見され、いくつかのテストのあと、その場で逮捕された。血中アルコール濃度はオハイオ州の法的許容値である0.080％を3倍近く上回る­0.201％で、泥酔状態だった。オハイオ州シェフィールドレーク警察は事件の一部始終を撮影したビデオをマスコミ向けに配布し、そのビデオ映像は広く報道された。ビデオ­の中には、手錠をかけられた後、秋信守が警察官に「どうか見逃してほしい」「韓国に戻ったら人生は終りだ。もう二度とここには戻れない」「あなたの要求は何でも聞いてやる­」などと発言している部分も含まれており、韓国でも波紋を呼んでいる。
