HALLOWEEN Dia de los Muertos Makeup Tutorial

This is my tutorial for how to get Dia de los Muertos make up for halloween! Dia de los Muertos is the Mexican Day of the Dead which is a celebration of those passed that takes place on the 1st and 2nd of november each year. People honour the dead with gifts and sugar skulls. I am not an expert on Dia de los Muertos so please excuse any mistakes in my description.

Please note: I'm quite pale naturally so I just used my normal foundation as a base, if you aren't as scarily white as me I suggest using a really light foundation or white facepaint first!

I used normal, cheap and easy to get make up such as Revlon, Thin Lizzy, Maybelline and some products from Cosmetics Plus (CHEAP!) so there is no need to splurge for this look! I also used the 88 Matte Eyeshadow palette from Coastal Scents.

I like to mix this look with pin up hair but you can do anything you like!

I'm thinking i'll be doing this look for Halloween this year, but next time you should give directions on what to use rather than just holding your makeup brushes up to the camera.

I.e. eyeshadow colors, brushes, and anything else needed.

Oh, and it would be nice if we knew that both eyes were being done. Like maybe a photo of the finished product at the beginning of it? :D

This is a great tutorial, except that I wish you wouldn't use that little mirror and instead used something to the side of, or behind the camera. I can't see half of what you're doing something. Still, I love the look.

@fromthisgirl Thanks :) I know it is a pain but unfortunately I didn't have the right equipment at the time to be able to do it so that we can both see what I'm doing. It's a pretty straight forward tutorial though and on the bits you can't see you can still see the outcome :) In the future I will have a magnified mirror! x
