5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe leaves Banbury after picking up passengers. The Bristolian is running from Solihull to Bristol Temple Meads on 28th March 2009. 5043 fails at Didcot and is replaced by a class 47 diesel loco.

5043 has great difficulty pulling away from Banbury. The crew try to fix the problem. A Cross Country voyager races 5043 to Oxford.

Both trains seen at Oxford, where 5043 is put into the sidings for 1 hour.

  • @trainlover658 She is back at Banbury tomorrow (11 Dec 2010)

  • Why did she keep stoping and moving?

  • @WestCoastRailwayBoy I can only remember that there was mechanical fault that caused the engine to be taken off at Didcot.
