Breaking the Spell is a 1999 anarchist documentary, directed by Tim Lewis, Tim Ream, and Sir Chuck A. Rock.
Using amateur camera footage recorded by protesters at the scene of the 1999 Seattle WTO riots, it documents the riot from the perspective of the anarchists, their opinions of fellow protesters, local politicians, and includes footage which aired nationally on 60 Minutes.
The film is currently distributed by CrimethInc. on the CrimethInc. Guerilla Film Series, Volume One DVD.

  • americans are so stupid when it comes to protests and revolutions. america is a baby in comparison to other countries. revolutions and riots and protests are going to happen. america is not invincible. america will fall. if you think differently then simply open a history book and find one country that has not had some form of a revolution. "every generation deserves its own revolution" Thomas jefferson.

  • whats funny is you fail to see any point in progression. Tell me friend, how eventful will your settled life become?

  • I guess I'm at that that hostile comments space on youtube again....

  • Stupid America, can't wait to see you fall.

  • Burning plastic and shit is very stupid and quite contradictory. This video vastly protrays that people were there to fuck shit up for the sake of fucking shit up, and nothing to do with the cause. Street fighting will happen. But people need to stay focussed and passionate about the reason all this shit is happening. Burning plastic is as pathetic and smashing human beings cars or smashing small businesses. Focus on the enemy. Fucking morons

  • Am I supposed to feel bad for people who are chanting "tonight we're gonna fuck shit up" and ruining public property? I'm not too upset about it, though. It's not like any of these people actually matter or made anything of their lives. Same goes for the Occupy protesters.

  • @ScarTissue111907 Absolutely, there's Tolstoy, Ellul...

  • It says much when a portion of this documentary is taken down over a portion of a song, there was no problem several months ago...

  • I'm not an anarchist, but they only eat what they grow. That's admirable. It's what my forebears and living relatives do. Makes sense.

  • All I see on this forum is people attacking one another for beliefs they don't understand. Did you watch this? It's about corporate control and it's gotten much fucking worse since the 9/11 false flag terrorist attack. Wake up or continue to be enslaved.

  • Fucking Environmentalists.

  • Pick your battles @ 4:30. You gonna fight everyone, even the people that are on your side? Burning the trash cans is A STATEMENT. If you're really that concerned about pollution, then go chain yourself to a plastic factory, gas company, car dealership, etc...

Don't start a war within your own army. Fucking doo-gooder yuppies, can't take the heat.
