Clear broadband Speedtest

I have the 6 Mbps Clear internet service. I am using a home modem (placed by the window), and am about a 3 minute drive to the nearest tower. CLEAR SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. Don't believe the commercials that say "superfast". My internet was great for a few months and then all of a sudden, nothing...and they say they don't know whats wrong. wasting money on Netflix and VOIP that I can't even use. I'm gonna cancel but thought I'd show people. But this is my opinion of my service. Look into the customer forums on speed issues and see others opinions too. Shop around before you sign 2 year contracts!!!

Clear may be throttling you. I have just cancelled because my connection was being throttled. They claim "excessive use". I watched about three Netflix movies a week and they deemed it "excessive".

If your download is slower than your upload with Speedtest, you are being throttled.

It's superfast compared to 14.4 modem. :)

They can say things like "superfast" and "up to 6mbps" because those words have no real meaning.

stay clear of Clear! avoid like the plague.

yea dude, same problem with me, although my internet is different. i have had my internet for a few years, it is usually very fast, 54mbps. but today i can't even watch a damn youtube video, takes 10minutes to buffer.

Computer says its normal but it's now, all computers and laptops in my house have also started to have the slow internet.
