Rock veteran Alan Merrill does a spontaneous short teaser version of his composition "I love rock n roll" in Yokohama Japan at the jazz & blues festival 1997 with his band Vodka Collins.
Caught on film with my camera cell phone.
FYI- Merrill wrote sang and recorded the original Arrows version in 1975, later made mega hits by Joan Jett and Briteny Spears.
I love when in the introduction he says "uh, maybe you know this" like he was singing some obscure unknown song. Fantastic.

  • So he played the complete song then? How was it, did the band kick in fully?

  • @baskethilt I stopped filming and started watching, sorry! It was great!! Everybody started jumping up and down so i couldn't have filmed anyway.

  • It is like an unplugged version.

  • Yeah, kind of, but plugged in to an amp:)
