what will happen if don't put a metal plate there? I don't have any and I don't think my parents will get me one.

@Lilnid555 If you just cut out the heel of the shoe so the bolt locks in, the heel will break apart pretty quickly. You really should have a metal plate for extra support. Or you could try and find another way.
