This is an excellent and well-reasoned video. You might be interested in my article "Mind or Randomness in Evolution" (xianphil.org/Intent_evol.htm)
. I would certainly be interested in your thoughts on it. Peace. DP -

you make god out to be such an otherwordly entity that I wonder what was his point in coming to a tiny spec of the universe, create men and then wait thousands of years to educate them -via things as burning bushes- about how you should be willing to choke your son if god so demands. And if you can at least teach men, why not teach them about the dangers of having a state? To be sure, some christians derive libertarian arguments from religious canon, but most are run-of-the-mill statists.

@TotalAnomy The series I'm doing is designed to address questions like these, and I will in due time. However, I will say that the absolute transcendence of God is not the same thing as "distance" in the sense of emotional distance from creation. Whatever other intelligent life there might be in the universe, human beings have reason and the capacity for actual self-giving love, and in this sense, are made in God's image. This I will try to prove by reason in upcoming vids.

Your claim of proving god almost implies godly skills / knowledge.

@TimothyBragan Not really. I'll have vids on that sometime within the next month or so. I have an ongoing series on issues of this sort called "Philosophy, faith and freedom" and I'm approaching that section soon.
