  • it is HARD to find a 96-97 f350 7.3 manual for sale, none the less in my price range!!!LOL

  • What are you talkin about guy? Diesels are meant to run at wot at full rated load all day non stop. You can hold it at redline all you want ain't nuthin goin happen cept your fuel mileage will go to crap. Diesels are built to work the entire rpm range. Not like a little as job paperweight that blows up when you start workin it. Go bak to flipping burgers at mcdonalds and stop spreading your ignorance.

Nice obs btw, been lookin for one myself with a stick. Nice to see there are still people w

  • @playinwitmatchz its not good to bouce it off the rev limiter without a load

  • @mifan93 i just bought my 97 7.3L 5spd 4x4 crew cab long box for $5700 CAD lucked out big time!

  • what about a 02 f350 crewcab long bed with a 6 speed running 550hp and 1000 ft-lbs of torque, do u think it will hold up

  • @playinwitmatchz wooo dude i work at mcdonalds and i no alot bout these truck. i got a 97 f350 crew cab long bed 7.3 powerstroke. just cuz ppl work at mcdonalds dont mean shit.

  • @bryce3685 are we talkin ford or dodge here? dodges dont have very strong overdrive clutches. however, stock 47re will hold o/d as long as it can, and if you got a chip, it will walk right up hills in o/d no prob. however, this causes heat, and slippage in clutches and your convertor, which sends junk through the tranny, which trashes it. hence, tranny goes crunchy crunchy

  • @jmanwild the towing in OD i dont really agree with you can tow in OD on flatter ground no problem pullin big hills its damn near impossible to keep it in OD at least the hills i pull in but sum say its not good others say its fine ive never used the tow\haul in my truck at all for 100km so far and no problems but ya heat deffinatley kills em i put a deep pan and extra cooler with fan but it never comes on fluid always stays around 100 degrees while towin or drivin around

  • @bryce3685 dodge trannys dont like towing in OD or over 600# torque. so just about any chip will wreck it. heat kills trannys. dodges convertors suck.

  • I'd say get exhaust. If it was me, I would go with a 3.5" Downpipe and 4" straight pipe

  • @mifan93 Really? I live in southern Ohio and it seems thats all I can find is standard 7.3's CHEAP too! But I want an automatic and an automatic only! And they are all above $12,000!
