  • Everytime I feel down, I hum this song, then go and make myself some tea =]

  • Back when I was a kid, before I owned a CD player, my parents gave me a Record player, and gave me this record. I listened to it constantly. My favorite song on the entire album was this song. It really puts everything in perspective.

Thanks a ton for the upload to Youtube.

  • lol i have this on my ipod X)

  • He Said Doo Doo :) QC

  • Classic soundtrack. ITV showed The Point from 92-99 every New Year's Day and i'd disappear upstairs to get lost in my own world. But it's gotta be the Hoffman version; Ringo was terrible!

  • @MrFunsockz Me too!

  • I loved this as a teenager, me and my 8 sisters & brothers! "The Point,' I gave this to my little ones, now grown & gone away. Particularly my youngest now graduating from law school; he stil loves it! Seems very apropos right now. Here's some trivia: When it first was shown on TV Dustion Hoffman was the narrator, not Ringo Starr. Trying to find the original is impossible! I actually feel that the original is better with Hoffman's voice. It's still wonderful. Especially this song.

  • Scotch Brite blow me

  • @Cocagirl77 Wonderful story, thank you for sharing :) I have this on vhs somewhere, and have the original vinyl soundtrack. Loved it as a kid, and still do.

  • gives me really good goosebumps. simple, beautiful, simply beautiful. Love me some Nilsson

  • As a child my father was a huge fan of Ringo Star (and the beatles). Of course I had to see this as a child and so happy that I did. The christmas before my father's death I purchased the soundtrack for him and it was one of the last gift's I had given him. I will never forget the joy and excitement when I gave it to him. He couldn't believe I found it and the movie on DVD. Thanks to this movie and Harry Nillson for giving me some wonderful memories of my father.
