As long as you have at least 8000 Gil to start the battle with Fenrir you will never really pay for fighting him.

I fight the flying eye monster, forgot his name. But it's the one which drops triple ap weapons. which sell for 20k to 70k =], it costs less than 10k to kill 1 and only 2 hits to kill him also (has less than to hits of 99k)
