@dramanyc The Neanderthals came north from the same place,they were black too.But in 200,000 years of the Ice Age they lost their coloring.When they met they did some mating but the Neanderthals died off due to germs carried by the more worldly Homo Sapians,who's coloring changed depending on what climate they were in,for the next 200,000 years.

Neanderthals survived for 200,000 years,twice as long as modern humans? So,Modern Humans dropped out of the sky 100,000 years ago ? How foolish ! Man,Homo Sapian,was alive and well at the same time.Only not fighting an Ice Age.They too were called Modern Humans,so Mr.Spock's Script needs work.

@dramanyc*.Life started there,then spread all over.Those that went North hit an Ice Age,for 200,000 years.Lost their color and became the Neanderthals.One of the weaker Southern branches was forced out,made to THINK to survive,stood in the tall grass to see further,ate grass and roots,to slow,..hunted in packs,made tools and weapons.Homo Sapien ,met Neanderthal,infected him and he died off.Yes some mated,know someone with Red Hair? that's Neanderthal DNA.The rest,lost color in time to survive.

neandertals are white people. life began in africa so whites mated with blacks to survive.
