Jackofkiwiland. I bought this gun and quickly returned it for a Tikka T3 in 300. The size and weight of the rifle made it unrealistic for hunting where I live. The Tikka however gives me sub half-MOA accuracy in every 5 shot group. I have a limbsaver recoil pad with a custom drilled muzzle brake, I wouldn't be too concerned about Tikka recoil if you have a recoil pad, but I don't think anyone should shoot for accuracy without a muzzle brake. Get a Tikka, you will not regret the choice.
hey dude im considering getting this gun but i can only find it in stainless steel and stainless steel gives me the shits. did you buy a your blued sendero retail or did you blue it yourself? and if so is there any risk in blueing the bolt action?

@jackofkiwiland This is a factory configuration - not a metal blueing effect, but a matte phosphate finish. I do not recommend to blue any internals / friction intensive parts.

looking at getting a tikka in 300 mag but i hear all sorts of shit about the recoil that cartridge gives. just wondering how bad it is in your oppinion, how much a limb saver or something helps (dont want to use a muzzle break) and roughly how heavy is your rifle?

@jackofkiwiland It goes around 8,5 lbs (not inc. scope and mounts). Recoil is medium-high. Very acceptable for hunting scenarios (fewer shoots, adrenaline compensation, etc), less comfortable for target shooting. A padding support will be a nice addition to your gear and make it much more comfortable.

what range does this rifle have?

@benmints it will vary upon the ammunition used. But this is a long range caliber where 300-400 yards becomes a "zero in" distance, and 1000 yards is feasible within match grade accuracy.
