This is a compilation of some of what I consider the more insightful bits of Schiff's speech to the Western Regional Mortgage Bankers Conference of Nov. 2006. I think people should view the entire speech, but for those who just don't have the patience to sit through it, I hope this abbreviated version will serve as a reminder (for some) or an introduction to Schiff's ability to see through all the surface data and propaganda that even now *still* persists regarding the state of the U.S. economy. Schiff clearly hits the mark with his economic forecast here and in other speeches, talks, etc.

People of Connecticut: Please don't waste this opportunity! Elect Schiff to the U.S. Senate!

The entire speech can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jj8rMwdQf6k

  • DSBac: Thanks for this video compilation! ... It's an excellent tool for goading the brain dead and a video MBA ECON 101 program for educated morons with short attention spans. .... when you're one step ahead of the crowd, you're a genius, ... when you're two steps ahead of the crowd, you're a crackpot! .. Schiff happens!!!!

  • @transcend350 ...hehehe... yeah, Peter knows what he's talking about which means few people will listen to him, especially in Washington D.C. Kinda makes you wonder who the *real* crackpots are.

  • why does the news agencies always laugh and interrupt this guy when hes being interviewed on tv

  • @TheBlitz1 - It's their childish attempt to discredit him and keep his voice to a minimum. (Of course, they are the ones who look foolish in the end.)

  • Recently I was discussing investments with the bankers that manage my parent's trust. These are people who believe in the "recovery" we are supposedly experiencing now. I mentioned Peter's name and one of the bank V.P.s said she thought he was a "crackpot". I pointed out that Peter had predicted the crash and her response was that "even a broken clock is right twice a day". This from someone who oversaw the loss of a lot of my parent's money. I wish I could move the trust to EuroPac...

  • @BlackSoldierFly - Yeah, a lot of people like to just say Peter got "lucky" or use that old "broken clock" analogy. Of course, by that logic, they're basically saying Schiff's "clock" happened to strike correctly at the right time and all these other "clocks" apparently all broke down at the same time that his "clock" was right.

If Schiff is a "crackpot", then I wonder what that makes them? Plain ol' crack?

  • @transcend350 I hope more people watch this video.Let's get it viral!!!

  • @BlackSoldierFly I feel your pain. My family utilizes a wealth advisor - who has now become a close family friend. Very conservative, long term investor. But not conservative for the new age like Peter Schiff. He still thinks dollar is king, and the US will be the driving force in the world well into the future. It is very, very difficult to contest any of his positions because he lost virtually no money during 2008 - because his investments are all gov't backed. But inflation is the killer.

  • Peter is awesome, we need him in the senate. CT voters please read this!!!

  • good highlights
