...A tear-stained woman walked up to the lens of our camera. "We are starving to death. We can't find food. We can't find water. We can't find anything. Where is our help? Where is our help?" she screamed. The fear is that such desperation might trigger violence in the restive slum... One woman with an untreated broken arm told us in one of the slum's filthy alleys: "We don't understand why no help has come. We may be poor but we're still human beings." To add insult to their injuries, our conversations with people in Cite Soleil are frequently drowned out by the roar of aid aircraft flying overhead...
