Daniel Brenner VanderVoort, Tampa Florida died August 14, 2009 at 5:30 a.m. He was struck by a truck in the eastbound lane of Sligh Ave at the intersection of Albany close to his residence walking to the bus stop. He was pronounced dead at the scene on impact. Daniel was born at Community Hospital in Battle Creek, MI January 23, 1971 to Tad D. VanderVoort Sr. and Janice E. VanderVoort. Daniel graduated from Lakeview High School in 1989 and attended one year at the Calhoun County Vo-Ed Center studying Marketing and Office Management. He moved to St. Petersburg Florida in 1990 where he started a short career in Retail Management. He quickly found his calling in office management and advanced rapidly up the ladder in the Health Care profession where he became the office manager for a successful Pediatric Cardiac Clinic in Tampa Florida. He lived and worked in Tampa for several years until he decided to follow a lifelong dream of living and working in New York City. In May of 2007 he acted on this dream. He dropped everything and moved to New York City. Here he loved the big city and found a great job managing the practice of a predominant holistic doctor that treated many big name stars in TV and Broadway. This was where he thought he'd stay, but shorly before his second year he was finding himself moving back to Tampa. He is survived by both his parents and his three brothers, William V. VanderVoort II, John G. VanderVoort II, Tad D. VanderVoort Jr. and his sister, Jacki E. Felice. He is also survived by his nephews, Grant, Jared, and Travis VanderVoort and his nieces Betsy, and Sierra VanderVoort, and Niclole Felice; plus his nephew's family, William V VanderVoort III, his wife, Laura, and son, Brenner Daniel. Daniel loved animals, especially is dog Andy, any memorial donations should be sent directly to the local Humane Society in his name.
