What a great revival Praetorius is enjoying! As an avid Praetorius fan I am delighted. You play very well Looking forward to hear some more of your interpretations. I'd give you more than 5 stars if it were possible! ;-)

Wonderful ... I'm sure Mr. Praetorious would be happy that his work is played & enjoyed by many some 375 years after his passing.

I do believe that Mr. Praetorius would not have objected to using steel strings (if only they are not too tough on your fingers:)) In his days guts were used for making strings, right ? Hardly an option in our days. Besides, perhaps steel strings sound even more "lutelike" than the "normal" ones.

I agree, patukott...steel strings do have a lute-like quality about them, and I'd like to think that the great composers of the past would have marvelled at modern music too!
