In my opinion,Mr. Gordy used all three of those girls to his advantage.. they were mere pawns in a twisted game that was grossly unfair and undeserved. They were just high school kids, for God's sake-- they didn't know any better than to assume that Gordy was going to take care of them and do right by them. The man actually lost the Marvelettes' name gambling at a casino.... it seems very clear to me that he didn't care about anybody but himself!why do you think more than 1/2 of the acts LEFT?

It is all here, in FLO'S OWN WORDS, just listen you will hear the story that both Wilson, and Turner told in thier bio's.  Here more clearly you have Flo's actual own story in her very own words. Just listen carefully and Flo's truth is perfectly clear as to what really happened to her. Flo states it was Milton Jenkins NOT Smokey Robinson as he claims that took Flo Mary and Diana to Motown. Flo trusted and had faith in Gordy, and he used her and Mary and even Diana in the end.

IMHO berry and diana had their fault BUT I think that flo wasn't an angel either. She was a strong woman and I can't see her as a "poor victim"... sorry but she did wrong too...and y'all are too quick to judge what was going on there,nobody know for sure...even the story between berry and diana is take with too much cynicism,I think that they really love each other and it wasn't only a business strategy by diana side and call her bitch...marvin gaye married anna gordy and...
