  • @TheGraciefighter101 no sure being the best brown belt in the world isnt anything significant.Gunnar will win at black as well no doubt but the standard is far higher now than when penn won in 2000,lads areactually being sponsored to train bjj professionally, not part time athletes like before.

  • @scarred10 so he hasn't won anything has he ..... you can't compare him to Penn because he did win the major. Look, I like Gunnar a lot - he's a great grappler but he had the resource to dedicate all his time to grappling and had more mat time in those 4 years than most would have in 10. I am more looking forward to seeing him in MMA than BJJ now though

  • @TheGraciefighter10 world brown belt champ after 3 yrs training, pan am champ brown belt, and medalled in pan ams at black after 4 yrs training.4th in ADCC 2009 absolute division at the lightest weight in the comp, beat monsen, dave avellan and only narrowly beaten by xande ribero.HES THE FASTEST PERSON TOP GET A BLACK AFTER BJ PENN AND CIAO TERRA EVER.

  • @scarred10 Gunnar hasn't won anything signficant though has he

  • @TheGraciefighter101 gunnars results at elite level in the gi go far beyond any british born grappler.Russel has never even competed at elite international level yet.

  • @TheGraciefighter101 LOL you obviously don't know Gunnar that well

  • Michaeel Russell would beat him in the GI for sure but good match and good result for Gunnar

  • Michael Russell is a absolute beast but Gunny is on another level right now.

Big things for both of them in the future for sure,

  • @billysue2

As you can see in my answer to GrImZyrEfIx010 Gunnar was 70.0 kg on that night and Michael was 76.4 kg.

  • @GrImZyrEfIx010 he was active since he was defending the pass and was constantly under pressure by gunnar, other than that he did nothing offensive. But too last that long was great.Gunnar is around 75 kg far as i know, mike looked about 70 here.
