Silat-Didge Meets Java Street Dance PT2 ( best part!)

In todays world, the arts, singing, music and so on are specialized, dance particularly practiced by a very few and only in very speciifc conditions and is scorned as 'unmanly' by many...shame, because that wasn't the trabial/Indigenous view! Dance, was absolutely essential, as was singing-a category of it's own if you like, and music to Indigenous life-not an added extra, indulgence, special interest. It wasn't practiced by a few, but everyone; the hardest warriors and the gentlest of all, the young and the old; "Teach your children to dance in the wild places!" Enjoins "The Sacred Earth/Twenty or Childrens Count," which is what most of my movement work is based on, but also bringing the nature and culture anywhere, street, town square, train, aeroplane, wherever! When you know how, my Apache Kin would go out on a life and death war raiding party, some of the best warriors and ultimate Scouts in the world, and come back and DANCE and sing the story of their battles, well you know what the modern world attitude to dance is-screwed up, like every other thing once good, in modern so called 'society' and 'civilistaion'!!!!It's a joke-unfortunately not a very amusing one!
Well, ANYWAY-to Dance with the Didge is a joy! The feeling always relates to our Australian Aboriginal Kin/Ancestors, Dreamtime, yet sometimes other cultures come in there, I love moving with a like a Pencat Silat Base, combining with the moment and other disciplines; here it is involving another Spirit Dancer, from the Javanese tradition, Mas Jaya, whom I have worthilly praised in the description of Part 1.
