Judas rebuked Jesus for wanting indirectly «a jaded mandarin» and «a common criminal»'s end: a self-destruction. Then why this direct act of violence against himself ?

  • @nicktesla45 I am black, thank you very much. Though it is an odd decision, he's a deep, very complex, and ultimately well-intentioned character, which is more than I can say for most black characters in films with any legitamate racial bias. Your'e hippy fixation is deafeating you; do you REALLY think they' had something against black people when they were casting?

  • this still brings me to tears... such a great, raw performance.

  • @Deathrune456 Ideologies

  • Judas represents how vulnerable, predictably flawed and cowardice we all are, Jesus represents how vengeful, power hungry and self serving we all are.

  • this man has an amazing voice.. so moving

  • 4:05 "Murder me---ahh

  • na na na na na na na BATMAN!

  • @Deathrune456 Gotta agree, I think that Judas' being black is more of a social commentary on the unjust treatment of blacks in society just as the director clearly speaks of the unjust hatred of Judas in most of our Churches. I think this is a sympathy with blacks, not a racialist kind of hatred of them. The character is extremely sympathetic.

  • I love this. Always have. He has such a great and passionate voice!

  • @IamMegatron12

Atheist and fan here as well.

  • im an athiest and love the shit out of this movie.

  • @Husavikur Thanks. I was trying to say that "God" doesn't punish people; only their consciences do, and only sometimes. The psycho character in 'no country for old men' never felt bad + tried to hang himself, and unfortunately, neither do most telemarketers.
