2003 GTI 1.8T *stock* vs Nissan Sentra SER SpecV

A few runs between me an a friend, the GTI is stock. The sentra had an intake (I think) plus 2 people in the GTI vs 1 in the Sentra.

@gickymobile1 The VR6 sounds better, and is arguably slightly faster then the 1.8T (although I've raced a 2003 VR6 GTI a while ago and we were even). The 1.8T is better on fuel consumption, easier to modify and is probably cheaper to insure

@Dave9919 vr6 24v all day, the 12v sounds better but the 24v is a better performer with a few kinks worked out. budget modding though, go with the turbo, dave is 100% correct. but idk about the race though... i stomp 1.8ts in my vr, ;)

@billyt4515 I raced a 2003 vr6 once back in the day, he had an exhaust and we were even the whole way. No clear winner. The 2 are pretty evenly matched "out of the box".

Is there an engine difference between an 03 GTI 1.8t and an 05 GTI 1.8t? (I'm a noob be easy please)

@billyt4515 what you should do is turbo a 24v, ive got a 24v and am planning on turboing it, eventually, and mine sounds good because i have an AWE catback on it.

If anyone knows much about the nissan sentra spec-v's they were only built for quick take off - after third gear they can be destroyed. hence why they are sick when a turbo mod is added for top end.

On that roll at the end that Spec-v should have launched better but then again it all depends on the driver overall. Cool vid :)
