Annotations must be enabled in order to get extra information about Aragna... ;-)
( Please read less serious text below too. )
In fact PF/NXT-Aragna became the missing link between Thunderbirds, Moonbase, Star-wars, Mars-mission, Star-trek, Space-police and the Jetsons. :-)
In order to fit Spybotics-spider in it's hangar I had to make the PF/NXT-Aragna a bit wider.
This weakened the superstructure, so I had to reinforce it.
Together with the interior it became 1 Kilo heavier!
The total weight of 6,5 Kilo's is really the edge, for this model.
I prefer to call my creations Techa.
As a combination of non-agressive Mecha and Lego-Technic.
Maybe you've seen already some of my bigger walkers on my Brickshelf. ( If not, watch following links: )

This beast is my first big one without pneumatics and is also my first with Mindstorms in combination with Lego Power Functions.
There is also a link to the video of this models prototype:

After doing nothing for a while with the NXT this is my firtst project since 2007, and my sixth NXT project overall.
At this moment I do have enough stuff and ideas to make it 9.....
And of course: after seeing this and my other creations you might understand and imagine I'm absolutely not good enough to be a member of the MCP at all ! :-)
I was a member of the Mindstorms Developer Project, but stopped doing anything for Steve since he didn't kept any of his promises.

@MrDeivi65 At 0:24 you might see a black NXT hidden under some Lego.
It's in the bottom behind the bridge.
At 1:39 you'll see it again. ;-)

ZOMG A SPYBOT! ...never thought i would see these again. totally underrated things if ya ask me
Buemmo 9 months ago
@Buemmo It's a real pity the spybotics didn't get any credits from TLC.
What's the use of making a powerful robotics brick and not tell anything about it to the customers?
I have to admit I'm not able to program the Spybotics (yet), but I know it's by far more than a remote controlled brick.
MennoGorter 9 months ago
@MennoGorter I have 3 of em (the green one is missing tho) and as i only have 1 NXT i use these e.g. for smaller bots like you did but they also are useful for the steering of the main unit as steering the NXT via bluetooth from my pc has a very limited range. I even could make a spybot auto dock in the hangar by tracking the RCs IR signal
Buemmo 9 months ago
@Buemmo I have bleu ones only. My goal was making a quite small spiderbot for Aragna's hangar. I still have the bigger prototype; that one looks good too and walks more creepy.
It should be possible to auto-dock the Spybotics-spider indeed, since the Spybotics-brick has a lot of IR-sensors and is able to track down the direction of IR-signals.
For now I'm using a Bionicle Manas IR remote control to control the spiders; works fine too. ;-)

@TheBlackWolfDK So if you are able to speak one of the Lego-peoples...
... How would you explain this to them? :-)
