Look how dated her computer and laptop are. They updated the tv to a new flat screen but still old game and graphics. That laptop is like 1994. Laserdiscs? Lol
I agree with serge014, this is seriously out of date. "Carphones?" Try CELLphones, at least. Still, I really loved his ride as a kid, and I know it's sappy, but I was impressed with how far we've come when it comes to technology.
This part of the ride seriusly needs to be updated. It was upto date about 15 years ago, but come on! They made references to carphones and laser discs, the screen is a regualar tv from the early 90';s, and that game they're playing has 16-bit Super Nintendo/Genesis graphics. I was just on this ride two days ago and laughed when they mentioned how easier it is with carphones today.
I really think this is a beautyful way for people to understand the way our familis used to live. Thesong is just so catchy I have to sing. I could ride on this fowever.
The voice of the narrator/father is Jean Shepard, the narrator/adult Ralphie from Bob Clark's "A Christmas Story" and Ralphie's employer in the sequel "Ollie Hopnoodle's Haven of Bliss".
