Down river run day two with the race boat and the new 2010 TachyonXC camera. We have now filmed roughly 60 minutes of onboard footage with this onboard camera system, and we are very impressed with it's ability to take the abuse we were dishing out to it. Our next test will be to see how it handles during a racing event. So far we have hit our top race speeds in the boat and have had no problems what so ever. This company really does seem to make an outstanding camera ready to tackle whatever we could throw at it. The colors of the camera are amazing. The only problem we have had with the camera is we wish we had more of them. Running the race boat at top speed you start to get alot of harmonic vibrations. That is what was causing the camera screen to roll. I can say that this wasn't the only thing shaking, at those speeds your eyes also begin to shake in your head from what we experienced. So enough said great camera guys were really impressed see you at the races armed with the new 2010 Tachyon XC. The race footage should be great! Oh and it will be in 3D also.

  • To much head movement in the race boat. This camera was mounted on the rollbar. It's hard to keep all of the harmonic vibrations out of the camera at full speed unless you use a lipstick camera. These are a new type of 3D camera with dual cameras mounted side by side. We only used one side for recording in these runs. They might work during racing since you don't hit top speed all of the time. Were going to try it!

  • maybe next time you'll get the Gyro clip on that hooks to the windshield. to run your video

  • What windshield?

  • Yeah I think that camera might have been in front of an exhaust leak off the right side header. I watched the video you were talking about and the sound is a lot better! Will be in the process of making a new set of pipes this winter before race season. season

  • @racing16 lol

  • Wow, how fast is that? I live by the ocean and that looks pretty fast for on a river. Guess I'm not used to land close on both sides going fast!

  • Dude. That was so cool...

    Thanks for sharing...

  • I like your vids...too bad you have to deal with the rolling shutter issue on your new HD cameras....I think you get better results with your old SD cameras without the rolling shutter....probably never get the 'jello vision' affect out of your vids....still cool to watch though....:)

  • my mistake, I forgot it was a sprint. how about a helmet cam?

  • Unreal. This was the best thing Ive viewed all day. Made up for a very dull day at home. Thanx.

  • Great video, bet your tired after making a long run like that, but what a rush
