"So, Maggie," he started, "you think it's good
that they've come back?" "I-I don't know. I mean, I guess." Shouldn't
SHE be telling me if that's good or not? "Well, I think you should just be careful, not
too judgemental but dont just dive into trust." "Right, well, I'll do that." "Good. Then I think we're done here. I'll
see you next week and-" "Wait. Dr.Mkay?" "Yes, dear? "Do you think he told people about-ummm
-about.." "From what you tell me I don't think he
would dear." She said with a small smile. I
just hope she's right. Maybe THAT'S why
they weren't mad. Because they didn't know.
But he wasn't mad either. He wasn't anything.
That shouldn't matter, I told myself. He could
go suck a brick wall for all I care. But I did care...

I got home and headed straight for the couch
and plopped down. I reached for the remote
and turned on the tv, it was set to a celebrity
news channel. "In other news, Kevin Jonas and Michelle
Keller have decided to keep their wedding
away from public eyes. For now. The two
have been engaged for-" I turned it off.
I didn't wanna know. Even though that
shouldn't phase me. I was startled by a
knock on the door. I opened it to find
Michelle, her hands full of wedding books,
and Kevin and Joe tailing behind her. "Come on in,"I muttered to myself.
I heard Joe laugh under his breath. Kevin
looked just plain uncomfortable. It took me a second to see that Michelle
was going on about something. And that the
something was directed towards me. "So, I
thought that you would wear this color,"She
said pointing. "It would mesh PERFECTLY." "Wait!" Everyone looked at me confused.
Everyone except for Kevin, he looked like he
knew it would happen. That I would crack. "What
do you mean, the color I'll wear?" "Your gonna be a bridesmaid, duh." She made
her tone like she was talking to a four year old.
Jeez, I'm not that stupid. "Why?" She looked hurt that I was interrogating
her. Joe looked away and Kevin looked down. "Because your my best friend." She said simply
and then started flipping through the magazine again.
I didn't want to argure so I just went along. We sat
there for hours deciding different things like,
baige not white-personally I see NO difference
whatsoever. Once they were about to leave so I could eat-
I had to promise Michelle I would do more wedding
stuff later- I lead them out to the door. Joe stopped
in the doorway and turned back to me. "So, Maggie." I laughed. He wasn't very smooth,
I don't get why he's trying to be though. "I was
wondering if maybe you would want to go to lunch
with me tomorrow?" He asked quietly sounding very
hopeful. Kevin was watching us intently. Wierd.
"Er, sure." I said, hiding my excitment. Me
and Joe had picked up almost where we left
off. "Good! I'll see ya tomorrow then." "Tomorrow then," I said smiling.
