Frank Sinatra
Reprise Recordings
(A.Bergman, M.Bergman, M.Legrand)
[Recorded April 17, 1984, New York]

How do you keep the music playing?
How do you make it last?
How do you keep the song from fading too fast?
How do you lose yourself to someone
And never lose your way?
How do you not run out of new things, things to say?
And since we know we're always changing
How can it be the same?

And tell me how year after year
You're sure your heart will fall apart
Each time you hear, each time you hear her name?

I know the way I feel for you is now or never
The more I love, the more that I'm afraid
That in your eyes I may not see forever, forever

If we can be the best of lovers
Yet be the best of friends
If we can try with every day to make it better as it grows
With any luck then I suppose
The music it never ends

I know, the way I feel for you
It's now or never
The more I love, the more that I'm afraid
That in your eyes I may not see forever, forever

If we can be the best of lovers
Yet be the best, the best of friends
If we can try with every day to make it better as it grows
With any luck then I suppose
The music never ends..

  • One of the best tunes Sinatra ever recorded

  • How do I keep the music playing?

Simple, I just keep clicking back at 0:00 :)

If ever you're listening out there Frank, I just hope you know how much happiness and memories this song is bringing to me. This is the tune that keeps me going through hell for the time being. And I thank you for that.

    RIP.

  • Beautiful and thank you. Soon it will be Ole; Blue Eyes 96th birthday (Dec 12th) -- but his music never ends, never stops, never ever ever be forgotten.

  • Fabulous song.

  • thank you so much for posting. this is the best version of this song. please can you also post Frank Sinatra;s Congratulations to Someone.?

  • a very nice composition! soothing!

  • Very insightful, intelligent, sensitive song. It get to the bottom line of love, romance, friendship and relationships. Marriage, mortgage, kids, real life tough but still we are human spirits that need to connect like this song conveys the fragility of human relationships and the special care that is needed. Anyway love is given to so few so this song does not apply to many really. Most relationships on survival practical level. Its a real song and its a sad song. But I love it.

  • wow i can remember this magnificent voice; the Frank Sinatra´s voice when i used to sing on my way to my first job at ALBANY INTERNATIONAL when i was young, he really touched me very deeply. Fran Rguez
