I'd flip through catalogs and wonder, "what kind of dining set defines me as a person?"

Because, you know, in a forum that promotes individuality, creativity, and altruism, one is required to wear rigidly formal clothing. Yeah. That makes a lot of sense, shallowmind.

You're most likely right. Whining is the Dutch ideal of progress. Except: Deterding is certainly German.

Show Dutch a beautiful sunny spring day with lots of butterflies and they will find something to whine about, they are just not a cheery bunch.

And what have you done so far being illuminated?

For me TED is not about uploading vids with prominent ppl saying very important things.

Instead TED uploads vids so ppl can change their lives and thus the world for the better.

So I tell you this; different people need different knowledge.

Understanding this made me a happier and better person.

    Be well.

Yay Fight Club. We have a choice to define our lives by Having or by Becoming. There's elements of each in the other, but which is the means & which is the end? Our possessions & our roles DO say much about us, but they're NEVER the whole story. We make choices, but choices can be rethought, and so we become & re-become.

Ever wonder what happened with the unnamed protagonist after the end of the movie? What did his life look like after that (other than serious prison time)?

In the immortal words of Tyler Durden, "I am Jack's complete lack of surprise. You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your khakis. F off with your sofa units and strine green stripe patterns, I say never be complete, I say stop being perfect, I say lets evolve, let the chips fall where they may. The things you own end up owning you."
