I dont want to be a jerk towards anyone but the cop is right. You do have to make a complete stop at a red light. Then make the right hand turn after it is clear. Kinda like a stop sign. And im not in New Hamphire or nowhere near New Hampshire.

@tuzzz1 That's dissapointing, most cars can carry four or five people.

They could just over look everytime someone performs the same traffic violation you did and I guarantee the number of traffic accidents would increase. The cop stopped you and was overly polite with someone who didn't deserve it. There should be laws accommodating the tasing and imprisonment of people like you who want to "keep them in check" by being an uncooperative bag of douche. Just do what the hell they ask and grow up.

dude you were being an asshole. i know the rights you have when being pulled over but this guy was just doing his job. dont start talking to him with an attitude

@tuzzz1 ... and that seems to be the real problem. Let's say that is what happened and you saw the story on the news. Cop cracks mans head open for not cooperating. Most people these days seem to act as if someone doesn't do or say what the cops tell them to do they deserve whatever the cops want to do to them. Everyone is full of fear, when we should be proud free people.
Was there anyone else in the car?

I have heard that right on red was legal in all 50 states. I don't understand why you were pulled over... what am I missing here?

@1GodOnlyOne It's legal, but you must stop before you turn. This was his issue. I was paying attention and not in danger of harming anyone. I made a *brief* stop and had time to turn before traffic continued. You can always turn right on a red after stopping and unless otherwise posted as no turn on red.
