But have course it doesn't seem like Square realise this so every potential player will continue to be bored playing Wow and all it's clones until some other company makes an upgraded clone of FEZ and hits hundreds of thousands of active subscribers.

If Square upgraded this game and released it to a company with European and American servers with an IP block then it would make a fortune on P2P and it would have a HUGE population on F2P with moderate advertising. If this game was released with a "final fantasy" title then it wouldn't even need to be advertised much at all, the title will draw crowds and the unique pvp will hook players.

And by upgrade, I mean it only needs to improve in game graphics and create more faces, hair styles etc...
