wranglerstar, I think you're abslutelly right about trees - we have to remember that old tree, 100-120 yers old producing much less oxygen than tree of 40-60 years. Very old trees, specially tall ones, producing less o2 than consuming it. It is much better to cut 10 old trees and place 100 new ones, which is not that hard to do.

@EngineerDeven i don't think blaming hippies is terribly fair, it's like blaming atheists for the holocaust. but even worse, you think cody should try building a wood pryoliser to run his tractors? he's got plenty of wood to do it with.

nice to see, there is still some people around that will not be bullied by the mass, i for one am looking into purchasing land in the near future for the same purpose. i do not enjoy having my neighbors so close that they know everything i do, i enjoy nature and hunting and fishing.....to those who would call me an animal killer i say, where do you think steak comes from???? i enjoy your videos and hope you will not let anyone influence you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

i wouldn't even bother with dealing with tree hugging hippies that don't even care about people they can go hug their trees

i, for one, am an environmentalist, but i totally agree with your view, there is a big difference between harvesting trees on ones own property, and the mass slash and burn style de-forestation of the major forests of the world, such as the amazon, and in eastern russia. its the same with hunting, i have no problem with people taking a few deer or hogs each year for food, but when people kill entire herds of species and not using the animal, and trophy hunting. God Bless, Cody

cody to let know that u are right, i live in an area next to a national forest with approx. 1.5 million acres for over 40 yrs and as a former wild land firefighter with the U.S.F.S. we do controled burn and we have not had a wild land fire go for over 1500 acres in the time i have lived, and it is do to the burns, and mite i add that i am in the south where the heat and dry is hororble. that was a vary well put statement. God has truly blessed you and your family keep up the good work.

Well said, I understand exactly what your goal is. You have no way harmed any enviromental eco system. If anything you have improved it. I would love to see the place in five years. It will be awesom.
Love your project and your family / life philosophy. I wish you were my neighbor.

I love trees but I understand that we need 2 make sacrifices. What I think is really sad is that trees r considered more human than and unborn children.
