This is a bourée from Michael Praetorius' collection Terpsichore. If it sounds familiar, you may have heard it played in the middle and at the end of Fifth Estate's 1967 cover of Ding Dong the Witch is Dead (although faster and shriller than my guitar arrangement). This is very early Baroque music (about a hundred years before Bach), so it has a Renaissance flavor.

You're still pretty speedy for someone who's slowing down - thanks for the Pied Piper video. I love it! I'm delighted to be together at last with you here on YT. I still sing all day long, but just for myself mostly - you can hear me from a way back on my videos of 'So Blue' and 'Trying to Run'. Thanks again, Thomas, and cheers!

Thank you, Elmar, for your visits and your comments! As I get older, my musical appreciation extends ever farther back in time. The lute music from the Renaissance is really enchanting. All the best to you and your students.
