Virtue of Wind God Lunatic Timed Out no bombs/deaths

This is the final spellcard of Touhou 10 - Mountain of Faith on the Lunatic difficulty timed out without bombing or dying.

I stopped actually putting effort into doing this a long time ago, but every so often I decide to take a shot or two at it. And then one night I magically did it while half asleep. It seems that luck was on my side, as I managed to fly through a solid wall at one point! The end was particularly intense, as my heart was trying to pound itself out of my chest while Kanako desperately tried to corner me on the left side of the screen before the timer ran out. Somehow I managed to pull through it all.

I seem to take a markedly different approach to this card than most other players. I constantly adjust my position within the mass of amulets, making use of vertical movement to keep myself centered in whatever open area I happen to be in. I am also very reluctant to challenge the small gaps in the semi-dense amulet walls, instead choosing to take any other route if at all possible - even if said route requires intricate, well-timed dodges through gaps that are only open for a split second. Other players I have seen tackle this card usually stick to the bottom of the screen, only move when necessary, and often prefer going through the tiny gaps in amulet walls to traversing a third of the screen through narrow channels to larger openings.

I do not know which is the superior way to handle the card. Both methods seem prone to getting screwed over by nearly impossible patterns that can show up. I've timed it out using my method, and Fallen has timed it out using the more conservative method. I'd go out on a limb and say that my method for the card is more fun, though :p

As far as I know, Fallen and I are the only English speakers to time out this card without dying or bombing. Fallen did it a few months ago, so she was first.

A few others have it down to one or two deaths and no bombs.

Incredible feat. The best i have ever done is four-deaths timeout. You are a symbol of how epic a Touhou player can become. Your skills reminds me of GIL; unbelieveable.

I think that if the game recognizes that you haven't shot any bullets during a spell card and you don't die, you should still capture the spell card.

If you want to know, I beat this WITH NO LIVES. When I used up every bit of my power on bombs, I was about to have a seizure AND I STILL FUCKING DID IT ON MY FIRST TRY. (Not trying to brag, as if it counted as so.) I am fucking proud of myself but this just crushed me.

But that spell is just sick, though it has a fixed pattern it still looks extremely random :x

@TuucciZ I wish I felt the same way. Kanako is the single frustrating fight in the entire Windows series. I like what KiraHunter said up there: Kanako's ENTIRE repertoire must be ZUN's way of trolling noobs.

@JapanForSale Now I've captured it both on Easy and Normal... On the latter difficulty, over half of the time, but on Easy, just a few times. It's really tough, but I like it a lot!

Also, what control method do you use, Kefit? Standard arrow keys and Shift-Z-X on the keyboard? Controller? Tablet? Telepathy?

Ya know, there're attacks that I can track and dodge with my eyes when I'm watching a video of them, but can't dodge when I'm in-game due to shitty skills and because my hands+keyboard can't keep up with my eyes. But then there're attacks like "Virtue of Wind God" here that I can't even keep up with in a VIDEO. Shit...

@TuucciZ LMAO, and that's pretty good all things considered. Of course, if you continued her stage you wouldn't have enough resources. I beat her ONCE on Easy, god knows how I did it.
