fyi, there is no rule that says covers have to be the exact same as the original. most covers try to be different. (blatantly obvious example: All Along the Watchtower)
and secondly... why discourage her individuality? We would never find anything new or exciting if we all had your attitude. It's music, dude! Creativity, Expression, Personality! ..Right?
