If you leave the top open you won't catch deer in them. They can just jump out. I have never seen a hog trap that did not catch a deer. But hunting hogs at night is way more fun.

@MEXNECK01 soak it in diesel. it keeps deer and other animals out and the pigs cant get enough of it. dirty bastards

soak corn in water?? i never heard of that but will try it next time i bait the watering hole near where i hunt..thanks..i usually use watermelons...pigs love those too.

My trap looks like that the trigger is difrent if I could keep the coons and armadilos out of it I would do better. I find if you soak the corn in water a few days it smells like vomit but pigs love it .
