This is a supercell thunderstorm northwest of Bloomington that was producing a tornado at the time. If you haven't figured it out yet, I tape a lot of thunderstorms.

  • nothing like the sound of the air conditioner on a humid June evening with a monster thunderstorm rolling in the from west.

  • is this in your house? because i hear something like a heater.

  • This is where? Exactly the same supercell was near Minsk on 4 August 2010. Outside the town were a tornadoes. Video I've lost ((((But the photos I have)

  • duck and cover time

  • Scary!

  • I thought eastern Montana did.

  • Ah man! I only we'd get clouds like that in Montana!

  • You were in the perfect spot to catch just enough sunlight to silhouette the thunderhead and catch all the lightning.

  • i think its cool how the lightning stays in the clouds, yet you can see it

  • in bloomington IL
