sunrise

This was filmed just north of Brisbane, Australia, on the 16th of December 2010. The footage shown is roughly between the hours of 4:30am and 7:30am. I used my Sony HDR-XR150 & a tripod to create the shot.

Filming through a glass door caused some problems including the close-up bugs at different intervals. The camera seems to have some problems of its own, focus-wise as well as with the combination of the glass and its own lens, it made the flare coming off the sun somewhat overpowering.

This was just a test shot, for a future establishment of 'day break' in a film. It was played at 100x real-time for the most part and was a lot of fun to make.

@GibbzyHD I bought a smaller version of the camera I originally wanted because of the huge price difference (saved $350AU). The one I ended up with doesn't have a mic port, which sucks when you're trying to do interviews or just hear whats going on without the camera focusing on what it cant see behind it. Quality is phenomenal; it records 1080p really smoothly, especially when on a tripod. Its quite light so you don't get a tired arm from shooting for long periods of time.

you shouldn't be aiming your camera right at the sun, it can do harsh damage to the lens if you don't already know
