Most people say that Nepeta wasn't a strong character. Sure, she wan't as mind-blowingly incredible as others, so I can see why she would fall in their shadows. But Nepeta wasn't a strong character because she was twisted, tragic, or extremely complex. She was strong because she was happy. Always happy, and she loved this boy. Who loved this girl. And she knew about it, everyone did. Yet she harbored no resentments towards Terezi, she never complained. They were friends. That's pretty amazing.

@FrostFoxChick The reason Nepeta got so little panel time is because, unlike Vriska or Karkat or Gamzee, she really didn't have any major problems or faults to overcome. This is also why Fefari didn't get much panel time. Neither of them were in a place at the beginning of Hivebent that required them to grow as characters. At least not in a way that would warrant time spent when the schedule was pretty tight.
