Blue is the colour of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. It slows human metabolism and produces a calming effect. Blue is strongly associated with tranquillity and calmness.As opposed to emotionally warm colours like red, orange, and yellow; blue is linked to consciousness and intellect. Blue is a masculine colour; according to studies, it is highly accepted among males. Dark blue is associated with depth, expertise, and stability. Light blue is associated with health, healing, tranquillity, understanding, and softness. Dark blue represents knowledge, power, integrity, and seriousness.
Blue is the colour of Vishuddha (Sanskrit: विशुद्ध, Viśuddha) chakra (Throat chakra). This chakra also known as Vishuddhi, is the fifth primary chakra according to Hindu tradition. Vishuddha is positioned at the neck region and it has sixteen petals corresponding to the Sanskrit vowels. Vishuddha is associated with the faculty of higher discrimination, between choosing what is right and wrong, and it is associated with creativity and self-expression.
