I Got Here cause of Evanna Lynch :)

this is the equivalent of a listening to guy singing about his period. are you kidding me? there is a reason this was sung by a guy, because he never stood a fucking chance.

@mahwidge Very well said! I completely agree.

May you play this at my funeral?

This song makes me cry

I GOT HERE BECAUSE OF JOHN CARTER.

They're both very different from each other, and honestly I love both.
To me, Arcade Fire's version sounds more like a broken cry for help. Hence the reason it's so raw. It's one of the good things about the song in my opinion.
This cover is more of an inner, quiet, pain. It's much more composed, and gives off a romantic sort of sadness. It's also quite nice.
Basically, I find it silly to compare them as they are both sung in very different ways.

Wow, awesome. Thanks for that

This is going to sound bizarre I know, I think it's a beautiful song and a good cover but it lacks soul. In a similar way to Hallelujah by Alex Burke, the song is sung TOO well. The brokeness and brittleness of the voice is what gives it's soul and depth. Win Butler's voice struggles and strains with the notes and not only does that make it unique but gives it heart. Still a respectable cover. Peace.

Well said and not bizarre at all! This is pretty and all, but it doesn't make me feel like I've been punched in the stomach like the original ;)
