Scientology: Jason Beghe Interview Part 13of 17

Actor Jason Beghe is the first celebrity Scientologist to sit down and publicly talk about his experiences after leaving the group. The full interview will be out soon.

Jason Beghe (born March 12 1960) is an American film and television actor. As a young man he attended the Collegiate School in New York City, where he became best friends with John F. Kennedy, Jr. and David Duchovny. He graduated from Pomona College in 1982.

Beghe starred in the 1988 George Romero film, Monkey Shines: An Experiment In Fear, and his portrayal of a quadriplegic in the film was positively received. He appeared as a police officer in the film, Thelma & Louise, and played Demi Moore's love interest in, G.I. Jane. Beghe starred opposite Moira Kelly in the television series "To Have & to Hold", and has had recurring roles on Picket Fences, Melrose Place, and Chicago Hope. He has also appeared on Numb3rs, CSI: NY, Everwood, Criminal Minds, Veronica Mars, and Cane.

He began taking Scientology courses in 1994, and later appeared in a Church of Scientology advertising campaign and promotional videos. According to Beghe, Church of Scientology Leader, David Miscavige, called him "the poster boy for Scientology".
Beghe left Scientology in April 2008 and immediately began speaking out publicly against it. He contacted Andreas Heldal-Lund of the organization Operation Clambake, who referred him to Scientology critic Mark Bunker (of Xenu.TV). Bunker helped Beghe upload an interview to You Tube in which he speaks critically about his experiences in Scientology. However, the Church, fearing embarrassment, have controversially had the video and Mark Bunkers Channel Suspended.

Seems not many people have stuck to the end on this interview, judging by the viewing figures but it's well worth it. Good on you Jason Beghe, what an insight & what a rip-off!
