Congressman Jerry Nadler discusses his bill to grant equal rights to gays and lesbians under immigration law. Appearing on MSNBC, Nadler says that loving couples should not be torn apart unnecessarily, something that current immigration law allows all too often when it comes to LGBT partners. To end this gratuitous cruelty, Nadler has introduced the "Uniting American Families Act." The bill would allow Americans in same-sex, bi-national relationships to sponsor their partner for immigration, a right currently granted only to married heterosexual couples.
