Flowers of Costa Rica Expotour 2010
Costa Rica's Expotour 2010 featured hundreds of beautiful displays that showed the paradisiaic foliage that is such a feature of this fabulous country. Creative displays of plants, flowers and gorgeous outdoor furniture combined with high tech tourism displays from around the region held rapt attention of the visitors present.
Marimbas filled the air with their characteristic organic sounds produced from the rare hardwood keys struck deftly by traditional musicians dressed in tico cultural attire.
Displays with trains of fruits and flowers from the Caribbean vied with flower cloaked exotic art and furniture from the Pacific shore and even human sculptures disguised as plants.
Bright red gingers mixed with yellow heliconias seemed to be everywhere mixed with exotic bromeliads and flowering orchids of every type. Flower arrangements were key to an attractive and friendly display helping attract people even to empty tables where only plants and brochures were found.
Here in Costa Rica many of us have the privilege of having many of these plants growing abundantly in our gardens and neighborhoods along with fabulous birds and animals.
