The Eyes and Ears Project is also helping educate parents and guardians on the importance of having updated child identification information. According to the U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ), when a child goes missing, it can take law enforcement up to two hours to get the information they need to begin a search, or required by the DoJ to issue an AMBER Alert. Having current photos and the necessary descriptive information readily available and easily accessible, is critical.
