iPad in Silverado Part II - Auto On/ Off with Display Out

So here's the completion of this project. I use PluggedIn from Cydia to get the iPad to automatically unlock and go to an App when I turn the truck on and to automatically turn off and pause music when I turn it off. I also used DisplayOut to get video to mirror the iPad onto the two headrest monitors. These two must-have tweaks trully complete the install. You can get DisplayOut and PluggedIn from Cydia on a jailbroken iPad and LeechTunes for the music player from the App Store.

I'm considering this instead of buying a standalone GPS, screen, etc..

How does the iPad GPS turns out for you? Is it reliable?

@guilhermeschwertner I have a BT GPS device and it works perfectly... Navigation on the iPad is the best out there.

so i have to ask , i just did a build on my truck for the ipad, i went through soundman for all my parts, only problems are the screen lock whenever i turn my truck off it takes 2 minutes to turn it off. how would i fix that problem, another is that i see right when you turn your acc on the ipad comes on, i hardwired mine via usb on a cig lighter. help me just a little bro

@mkfriedrich90 Just hardwire your cig lighter adapter to the accessory power so it sends power only when you turn the key.

Im doing an install similar to yours, i just need the cable which has aux, a/v, and the charger like the one your using because i also want to install headrest.If you would let me know which cable id appreciate it.

Or you can just play all the music in itunes... Thats what i plan on doing, which you can just put all the videos and movies in there as well
