After a hamstring strain (tear, or pulled hamstring) it is common for the muscles to tighten up and for hip flexion range of motion to be decreased. This should be corrected using stretching exercises to avoid future injuries.

  • Thanks for this video. I pulled my hamstring last night during my baseball game

  • @sportsinjuryclinic Alrite sir, thanks you. also i'll suscribe this video its pretty useful

  • @JMRG2992 Gentle stretching up to but not into pain is fine.

  • @sportsinjuryclinic well the pain is not sharper, the pain its more like if i didn't used the muscle in years so its a bit unflexible, and the pain is like stretching but its concentrate in the place i had the muscle tear xD, also i was stretching for the last week, it hurt at beggning but now my range motion until i come to pain has increased, so stretching my body ( special the muscle who had the injury) its helping me ?

  • @JMRG2992 No. Stretching should be comfortable to perfrom. If it hurts it is your bodies way of saying don't do it! A bit of stiffness and aching are ok, but not sharper pain.

  • well i like this video, so i should stretch even if hurts ?
