Cisco Building Mediator Demo

TechWiseTV's Robb Boyd caught up with Terry Burdett to get 'hands on' with the new Cisco Building Mediator. This device is literally become this centuries 'router' for connecting the very intelligent yet very silo'd systems found in just about every building we find ourselves in these days. The potential to save energy and operate a building more effeciently by combining all these systems onto a common IP based foundation is huge.

The product is a transport device. It interfaces with N1, N2, BacNet, ModBus, Apogee and others and converts the data into an XML SCADA. Once in XML, its just a mater of writing scripts to other devices that can accept XML.
