Ayumilove's Diary:
This video is dedicated to FrenzyR ^_^
If my memory serves me right, I watched the video where 1 scene had a picture slide show, and has the fade in and out. You could use this technique I have shown here to create that picture slide effect, simply replacing the film strip with a picture frame.
You can use sony vegas pro 7 or 8 to complete this tutorial! By completing this video tutorial, you will be able to create a slideshow of picture/photo or video. This is similar to the PIP Windows Movie Maker video tutorial.

Written Filmstrip Tutorial (very useful!)
http://www.johnrofrano.com/tutorials/parentmotion.htm (more)
Summary:
1. Import 3 video clips and 1 film strip pic
2. Place all of them into the timeline
3. Create 1 extra video track (empty)
4. The empty track serves as parent motion
5. Crop video clips to fit into film strip
6. Relocate the video clips to its position
7. Make the video clips and filmstrip as compositing child
8. Create 2 keyframes, 1st keyframe from left, and 2nd keyframe to the right
9. Duplicate all the tracks to create a loop
-----------------------------
I learn something new on how to cope with the lag. If you do not have high end computer like me, where you would find the preview lagging, you could replace the video with picture instead of using draft - auto mode. Pictures does not lag and helps you to pinpoint the exact position. Thus, allowing you to do correction it if its panning too fast or too slow. Once the position is set, then replace back the picture with video ^_^
