  • This was "Net 4"; you can tell by both the "Spree" branding and the phone number -- I gather that net 1 is still using the same 284-3100 WATS line.

  • "$39.75" retail, on sale here for "$19.75"? Today, you can buy DVD's of virtually the same cartoons [in different collections] in "dollar stores" for a buck....or less.

  • This was during the period when home shopping channels would sell ANYTHING...even videocassettes featuring six hours of public domain cartoons, in varying degrees of quality [the "Looney Tunes" of the '30s and early '40s, including "Porky's Railroad", were recolored (and reanimated) TV versions reissued in 1972]. The hostess, I'm sure, wasn't even AWARE of what was actually on the tape (this is why she mentions "Ali Baba Bound" and "Waikiki Wabbit" as though they were real characters)...

  • I have that tape, 50 funny cartoon classics

  • It's funny when she meantions Ali Baba Bound and Wacky Wabbit, like that's the name of the characters.

  • what a weird woman, she's trying too hard.

  • That chick is crazy -- "Aww...isn't this cute?"
