you are absolutely correct. i know from the first-hand source that one did stay behind to put out the fire. it began as an accident. and he was the only one out of the three who faced community service and whose family had to pay damages. i have to protect their privacy but it is maddening that so many people allege this to be related to the other fires that happened that week. there was a lot of dry brush in the area so fires were likely.

there was actualy a few groups of girlscouts and brownies in the park when it happened... everybody got out okay, though.
the fire was started by a few teenagers playing with matches. they were caught not too long after this happened.
